Here are some tips on planning the perfect popcorn bar at your event:

Provide bags and scoops
You should have bags for guests to put their popcorn in so they can carry it around with them if they please. This eliminates the constraint and mess of plates and bowls. You can even provide refill bags so people can take popcorn home! Also, provide scoops so guests aren’t looking for something to get the popcorn with. This will prevent people from using their hands to grab it.

Flavors and selections
One of the many fun parts of having a popcorn bar are the various flavors and topping selections to offer your guests. Feature a selection of M&Ms, chocolate chips, peanuts, and even caramel or chocolate drizzle at your bar! Not to mention the many popcorn flavors like cheddar, kettle corn, peanut brittle, caramel, and more! Get creative with the labels and let your guests create their own treats!

Be creative
This is the most fun part! You can get creative by matching the popcorn colors with the theme of your party. The popcorn can be colored with food dye and you can be as creative as you want with the display. This will be inviting to guests, and even if they aren’t a fan of popcorn, it will make them at least come and look at the popcorn bar and maybe recommend it to others!

When to serve it
If you’re not a fan of cake, you can offer a dessert bar or snack options, instead. Your popcorn bar can also be the perfect appetizer served during your cocktail hour! This will give guests something to snack on while they wait for everything to begin. Or, provide baggies of pre-wrapped popcorn with a thank you label to serve as favors or offer it as a late-night snack while your guests leave!
